Before Royale Photography had packages, timelines or booking forms, it was Nik carrying a camera through Europe and learning how light, people and timing can change the whole feeling of a memory.

Where it started
There was no business plan. Just curiosity.
Back in 2014, while the world was watching football, I was travelling through Europe, visiting new places, walking through historic cities, standing inside stadiums and taking photos simply because I enjoyed it.
I did not know where photography would lead. I was simply fascinated by people, places, light, emotion and stories.
Those early travel photos became more than souvenirs. They taught me to slow down, observe what was happening and look for the feeling inside a scene.
The path
A quiet timeline, not a manufactured origin story.
Royale grew the normal way: by doing the work, taking the responsibility seriously and learning how to make people comfortable when the camera comes out.

From passion to profession
Over the next 12 years, that passion became Royale Photography.
Since then, I have had the privilege of photographing weddings, christenings, family milestones, portraits, sporting events and special occasions across Melbourne and Victoria.
Every event is different, but the responsibility is always the same: to capture the moments people will want to hold onto long after the day has passed.
What stayed the same
The camera changed. The experience grew. The business evolved. But the reason stayed the same: to capture moments worth remembering.

The camera is only useful if people feel looked after. That is the point of the whole process: clear planning before the day, calm direction when needed and enough awareness to catch the unscripted parts.
